Cabot
Training & Legal Services have to date, a total staff of
12 very experienced trainers, who each have their own
specialist qualifications in areas of Public Services,
Criminal Law and Procedures, Civil Law, Health and Safety
and the development of Training to effectively address new
legislation. The majority of the company staff have both
police and civilian qualifications in education and
training. Cabot Training reserves the right to select the
most suitable trainer(s) for the category of training
required by our clients. All training courses designed and
provided, will be supervised by the Managing Director and/or
suitably qualified trainer assessors.
COURSE DESIGN POLICIES
Cabot Training, does not make use of what are termed as
‘off the shelf’ courses. We believe that all courses
must be tailor made for our clients and in the interest of
maintaining the highest quality of course preparation and
delivery. We reserve the right to carry out a full ‘Client
Needs Analysis’ prior to any curriculum design.
TRAINING
NEEDS ANALYSIS
The success of any training programme lies in the quality of
the Training Needs Analysis. We will ensure, subject to
ratification by yourselves, that an in depth TNA is
conducted through new desktop research, including
researching any programmes of a similar nature previously
run and discussing your needs personally with your
representatives.
All aspects of roles, responsibilities and job specification
will be examined and this coupled with established
procedures and legislation will be incorporated into the
course.
This will allow, from the very outset, the establishment of
agreed, achievable and realistic Aims and Objectives for the
successful running of the course by achieving the desired
outcomes. An understanding of the varied base knowledge
already achieved by the delegates attending, will establish
if pre-course reading material needs to be prepared and
circulated prior to the commencement of the course.

IDENTIFICATION
OF REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
We will agree to forward our identification of the Aims and
Objectives of the course for your perusal and agreement
within agreed time scales, in order for lesson plans to be
prepared.
THE TRAINING PROGRAMME DESIGN
Cabot Training will provide suitable Lesson Plans for each
agreed topic matter, to include the aims and objectives, the
teaching methodology and will prepare trainer packs for each
lesson, not including material for guest speakers.
Again, in the interests of professionalism, we ensure that
all courses as designed, including the vessels to carry the
development of the learning process, are ratified by
suitably qualified client personnel in an attempt to ensure
that the course as prepared, is as close to that desired by
our clients. Course aims and objectives must be agreed prior
to the commencement of course construction. We would
therefore request that at an early stage in any course
curriculum development, such a qualified auditor is
appointed. |
