More about Cabot Training.... |
|
During the
early days of the formation of the company, he was tasked to
design and run a total of 14 one-day courses for the South
Wales Police and Cardiff County Council in relation to
Anti-social Behaviour Orders. He has also trained British
Transport Police, Local Authority Personnel, Councillors and
members of the Welsh Assembly. The success of these courses,
resulted in a further 9 courses being scheduled for March
2004, which have now been successfully completed. Other
contracts with the South Wales Police included Traffic
Warden training.
In addition, we have successfully completed contracts for
training Solicitors in statement taking and are currently
training Door Supervisors throughout the South Wales and the
West Country following the new Security Industry Authorities
consolidated four day course under guidelines set down by
the awarding body namely the British Institute of
Innkeepers, to sufficient standards for candidates to be
awarded the National Door Supervisors Certificate.
In August 2003, the company was tasked with providing
training for Special Constables for the South Wales Police.
During this process, both lesson plans and administration
feedback were provided to the South Wales Police, which we
believe assisted in the further development of the course.
In November 2003, Cabot Training was awarded the full
training programme for the Special Constabulary, which
included five weekends of specialist training followed by
ten weeks of modular training. Due to the increase of
commitment, further suitably qualified specialist staff were
selected and the complete training programme provided.
Again, lesson/course feedback forms were completed by the
Special Constables, which have been of a very positive
nature. We have recently been awarded the contract for the
provision of Special Constables Training for the South Wales
Police for the year 2004/2005.

| Over
recent months |
| Over recent
months, we were tasked by the South Wales Police, to design
and implement a total of 8 one-day courses, to enhance the
statement writing and taking of Special Constables. As the
result of this request, Cabot Training developed a 57 page
instructional workbook, to be used in conjunction with
Lesson Plans and a Power Point presentation. We have
successfully completed these courses again with positive
feedback from those involved. It is anticipated, that this
course design will be adopted by the South Wales Police, as
good practice for the continuation training of Special
Constables. |
| In 2004? |
In June of
2004, we were commissioned by the Community Safety Unit of
the Welsh Assembly Government, to design and run a four-day
course for the recently appointed Local Authority
Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinators for the twenty-two Welsh
Local Authorities.
The course was held over the 4 days at Llandrindod Wells
between the 14th and 17th of September this year.
Feedback on the course indicated that the course was a great
success.
Individual comments included “A total learning Experience”
and “Very tasking but enjoyable”.
